Cygnal Technologies Partners with Interactive Intelligence to Offer Multi-Channel Contact Centre Solution
New product line designed to make advanced contact centre deployments simpler and more affordable for medium-sized enterprises
August 30, 2005
MARKHAM, ONTARIO and INDIANAPOLIS, August 30, 2005 – Cygnal Technologies Corp. (TSX: CYN) has partnered with Interactive Intelligence Inc. (Nasdaq: ININ) to offer its customers throughout Canada a software-based suite of contact centre and enterprise IP telephony solutions. Cygnal anticipates these solutions will appeal to medium-sized enterprises looking for advanced, multi-channel contact centre functionality that traditionally required a more complex and costly implementation.
Cygnal chose to offer the Interactive Intelligence solution because it provides customers with a pre-integrated application suite and multimedia automated call distribution (ACD) capability, to manage phone calls, faxes, e-mails and web interactions from one platform. Cygnal is now able to provide a Microsoft®-based, session initiated protocol (SIP)-ready, IP PBX phone and communications platform to its clients.
“The Interactive Intelligence software is architected as a modular, pre-integrated suite of products that enable customers to add new applications at their own pace without changing their existing infrastructure,” said Todd Rutherford, President, Cygnal Network Solutions. “Furthermore, the company’s commitment to industry standards means our customers’ investments are protected. Interactive Intelligence’s reputation as a leading innovator also assures that our customers can be the first to take full advantage of emerging technologies, such as SIP, for even greater value.”
Cygnal has already leveraged the Interactive Intelligence software for deployments with the following customers:
- Abrams Towing (www.abrams.ca) is Canada's largest towing and recovery company, with a fleet of more than 125 vehicles. Cygnal will be implementing a complete voice system, including a call center solution, which includes advanced routing, advanced reporting, full-time recording and multimedia queuing.
- Execulink (www.execulink.com) is a Southwestern Ontario-based integrated communications company offering local telephone, long distance, and Internet and cable services to business and residential customers across Canada. Cygnal was able to meet Execulink’s needs for an internal call centre with advanced functionality including flexible call routing and customer treatment, multimedia queuing and recording. In addition, Execulink plans to offer its own small business customers a hosted contact centre service based on Cygnal’s solution.
“Organizations of all sizes are finding that customers increasingly expect to be served through whatever channels they choose, including voice, e-mail, fax, self-service, or live Web chat,” Rutherford said. “Our core offerings, combined with the multi-channel software provided by Interactive Intelligence, enable organizations to more effectively meet these customer demands – particularly small and mid-sized enterprises that previously found advanced contact centre functionality cost-prohibitive and too complex to deploy and manage.”
“As our first National Elite Partner in Canada – a designation signifying partners that are capable of providing the highest level of sales, service and support for our entire product line – Cygnal can now offer its customers, coast-to-coast, the broadest range of best-of-breed solutions,” said Dr. Donald E. Brown, president and chief executive officer for Interactive Intelligence. “In addition, the flexibility of our software, combined with Cygnal’s extensive telephony infrastructure and expertise, gives customers new options for deployment, including premise-based, outsourced, and managed.”
